বরিশাল বিভাগে বরিশাল জেলার বিক্রেতারা পেয়াজের দাম বারিয়েচেন বলে আদালত তাদেরকে শাস্তি ও জরিমানার নিদেশ দিয়েছেন।খুলনা জেলা বুধবার থেকে সহরে কদমতলা স্টেশন রোডের বাজারে দমন শুরু হয়। খুলনা জেলার ম্যাজিসেটট ইউসুফ আলী ঘোষনা করেন যে টেডিং দমন চালাতে হবে।আর সেখানে দমন ও চালানো হয়।আর সেখানে পাইকারি এক দর আর বিক্রি করছে বিক্রেতা তার চেয়ে অনেক উচ্চ দরে।সে জন্য এক জনের উপর ২০ হাজার টাকা জরিমানা করা হয়। সেই জরিমানা না দিতে পারায় তাকে এক মাসের জেল দেওয়া হয়। এর পর খুলনা খুচরা বাজারে দমন করা হয়। সেখানে ও দেখা গেছে যে বিক্রেতারা পাইকারি দামের চেয়ে অনেক বেশি দামে বিক্রি করচে। তাদের পাইকারি দাম হলো ৭৬ টাকা আর তারা বিক্রি করছে ১০০ থেকে ১১০ টাকা। যার কারনে তিন জন বিক্রেতাকে গ্রেফতার করা হয়। আর তাদের উপর ৪৫ হাজার টাকা জরিমানা করা হয়। তাদের তিন জনের নাম হলো পরিতোষ বাইন, তার পিতার নাম কৃষ্ণকান্ত বাইন। আরেক জন হলেন আব্দুর রব পিতার নাম আজিজ। এবং অপর নাম জনের নাম হলো ইখতিয়ার তার পিতার আব্দুল খায়ের। এখন বতমানে খুলনা জেলার পেয়াজের দাম নিদিষ্ট পরিমানে আছে সেই কথা জেলা ম্যাজিসেটড তিনি জানান। ম্যাজিসেটড মিজানুর রহমা
